What you can see as a member
Admin rights and viewing rights are not the same thing.
An admin runs the group. An approved member can read the posts Facebook shows to that account. Monitoring helps the member spot useful posts. It does not add admin rights or reveal more data.

Return to the original post, read replies and group rules, then decide whether participation is appropriate.
See inaccessible groups
A private group stays unavailable until it approves the account. There is no shortcut.
Act as an administrator
Monitoring does not expose admin alerts, member requests, moderation queues, or deleted and restricted content.

Open each group before you add it.
During setup, we confirm which groups the monitoring account can open.
Provide group links
Separate groups you already belong to from communities where membership is still pending.
Open each group normally
Check that the account can read recent posts through Facebook. Do not use copied cookies or another person’s session.
Add monitoring rules
Choose the questions, services, brands, places, and words to ignore.
Respect each community
Treat each alert as a reason to read the post. It is not an instruction to pitch the writer.
Know the limits
Managed monitoring preserves the same access boundary as the signed-in member.

GTM Intel does not support fake identities, account farms, or copied customer cookies.

The group’s owners and administrators decide who becomes a member. Monitoring begins only after normal access exists.

Keyword alerts without admin access FAQ
Can I get Facebook group keyword alerts without being an admin?
Yes, if the monitoring account can already view the group as a member or visitor. It does not need admin rights to read normal posts.
Can it monitor a private group I have not joined?
No. The account must first be approved through the group’s normal membership process.
Does the group administrator know I configured a keyword?
The matching rule lives in your GTM Intel account, not in the group settings. You still need to follow the group rules and Facebook’s terms.
Can monitoring see admin-only alerts or pending posts?
No. A member monitor can only see posts available to the signed-in Facebook account.
Will GTM Intel automatically comment when a keyword appears?
No. It routes the original conversation for human review. Any participation is a separate, manual decision.
